RB Leipzig chief executive speaks out on Liverpool's Keita pursuit

RB Leipzig chief executive Oliver Mintzlaff has branded Liverpool’s pursuit of Naby Keita ‘boring’, after weeks of speculation linking the midfielder to the North West side has seemingly ticked off the executive who doesn’t want to lose one of his side’s standout performers of last season.

The Independent report that Mintzlaff has decided not to accept any offers from rival clubs for the services of the 22-year-old player.

The club’s CEO told SportBuzzer: “Yes. And that topic is boring.
“It's only our second Bundesliga season, our squad's still the youngest and most likely also the most inexperienced.

The newly promoted club impressed many last season as they finished runners-up in the Bundesliga. And following their display, many clubs have been knocking on their door in pursuit of the players, including a reported link between Arsenal and Emile Fosberg.

The suggest transfer for Keita is a sum of £45m – a significant profit for the player.
