Real Madrid set sights on Courtois as Man Utd block De Gea’s exit

Real Madrid are interested in signing Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois if FIFA withdraw the transfer ban imposed on the LaLiga giants for the next two transfer windows. Despite Keilor Navas’ impressing performances, the Merengues are said to be looking for a new goalkeeper and according to rumours coming from England, the Belgium International tops Zidane’s shopping list.

Real Madrid have been looking for a new goalkeeper for very long time. In 2015, De Gea’s transfer to the Santiago Bernabeu collapsed in the deadline day of the summer transfer window with the LaLiga giants that eventually won the Champions League at the end of the season with their underrated Costa Rican shot-stopper in goal.

Manchester United’s boss José Mourinho, however, is not open to sell De Gea anymore and the LaLiga table leaders are now considering signing other potential transfer targets at the end of the season.

Courtois, a former Atletico Madrid star, is imposing himself as one of the best goalkeepers in Premier League so far this season having only conceded ten goals in 13 appearances, keeping seven clean sheets.
