Real Madrid will sell prolific striker on permanent deal with buy-back clause

Real Madrid are set to sell their promising striker Mariano this summer, according to a report of As. Mariano is one of Real Madrid’s most prolific striker this season. Despite lack of game time, he has managed one goal every 60 minutes during the 2016/17 campaign attracting the interest of several European clubs.

Real Madrid, however, are going to add a buy-back clause in the player’s deal. The Merengues did a similar operation when they sold Alvaro Morata to Juventus in summer 2014. The Serie A giants bought Morata for € 22 million and Real Madrid activated their € 30 million buy-back clause two years later.

Morata is now heading towards Manchester United for more almost € 70 million.
Betis are believed to be one of the clubs interested in signing Mariano although Frankfurt and Benfica are also reported to be keeping tabs on the 23-year-old. Sources have told calciomercato.com that Fiorentina will keep a close eye on Mariano as well.
