Real ready to trade Mourinho targets to nab Man United GK

Real Madrid are ready to do “anything” in order to nab David De Gea, according to the Sunday Express.

In fact, the Galacticos are finally set to accept one of Jose Mourinho’s demands from a few weeks ago: namely, accepting to swap either Alvaro Morata or Raphael Varane for the goalkeeper.

The Special One had asked for the two stars when Real first came knocking for De Gea, who was rumoured to want a return to his native Spain. The Galacticos have been chasing the international for two years.

Morata himself recently dropped a hint that he wouldn’t move to AC Milan, out of loyalty to former club Juventus, where he played from 2014 to 2016.

While Real Madrid aren’t convinced by Keylor Navas, the Red Devils need a striker to replace Zlatan Ibrahimovic, while Varane has long been on Mourinho’s transfer wishlist.

The Special One gave the French defender extended playing time (despite his young age) when he was still Coaching at the Bernabeu, and wanted to bring him to Manchester last summer, as Varane himself recently revealed.

“I preferred to talk with my [Real Madrid’s] directors and the Coach to find out if they trusted me,” he told L’Equipe, “Because that was the case, I put my head down and got to work.”
