Report plays down Spurs movement for Barkley and Silva

In an exclusive for Football.London, the site has played down rumours linking Tottenham Hotspur with Everton’s Ross Barkley and Sporting Lisbon captain Adrien Silva, suggesting that while Lilywhites boss Mauricio Pochettino is interested in Barkley, there is no formal offer on table. Likewise with Silva, who, it is thought, is not a target for the Argentinian, and hasn’t been all summer.

Barkley has been linked with a move to the North London side for a majority of the summer window so far. The 23-year-old England international, who scored five goals and provided eight assists last season, is reported to be available from The Toffees for around £50m.

28-year-old Portuguese international Silva did speak to journalists at this year’s Confederations Cup regarding a move to the Premier League and he was quoted in saying that he would welcome a move to the English league, but ultimately he is unsure of his future.
