Revealed: Donnarumma turned down €13m offer by Psg to sign new AC Milan contract

As we reported yesterday night, Gigio Donnarumma has agreed to sign a contract extension with AC Milan. The 18-year-old goalkeeper will earn € 6 million-a-year until 2022, becoming the third most paid goalkeeper in the world after the likes of Manuel Neuer (€ 9 million) and David De Gea (€ 6.8 million).

A double release clause will also be included in the player’s contract: €50 million if AC Milan fail to qualify for the Champions League, € 100 million if the rossoneri qualify for Europe’s elite competition next season.

As we exclusively reported last week, Donnarumma has pushed to sign a contract extension with AC Milan, going against his agent’s will who wanted to take him to Real Madrid or Psg.

Our transfer pundit Fabrizio Romano can exclusively reveal that Psg had offered Donnarumma € 13 million-a-year, plus € 1 million in bonuses. They were also open to sign Donnarumma’s brother Antonio and Nasser Al-Khelaifi had also offered Donnarumma three limousines and three villas Donnarumma could have used with his family.

Real Madrid had also tried to tempt him away from the San Siro, but Donnarumma has decided to extend his stay in Milan and sign a contract extension until 2022.
