Revealed: full content of Conte’s text to Diego Costa as striker told to leave Chelsea

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is reported to have informed the Blues’ star striker Diego Costa that he won’t be part of the club’s plans for next season. The Italian has reportedly informed the Spain International through a text message whose full content was revealed by Spanish paper AS.

“Hello Diego, hope you are well. Thanks for [what you did] this season. Good luck for your next season but you are not on my plans.”

The player revealed earlier last week that he’s not open to leave Chelsea unless he makes return to Atletico Madrid. The Colchoneros, however, have received a one-window transfer ban and won’t be allow to register new signings in the summer.

According to several reports Conte has requested Chelsea to sign a new centre forward with Romelu Lukaku who is believed to be Chelsea’s summer transfer priority for the summer.

What’s for sure is that Diego Costa is not going to be Chelsea’s main forward for next season, but which club will the Spaniard join?
