The club’s president Uli Honess confirmed that Bayern Munich players wanted Ancelotti to leave the club.
“I think Ancelotti had at least five players against him, some of the most important players and I think he could not continue to work in this situation. I’ve learned something in my career: Your enemy is more dangerous if he stays in your bed. We decided to sack Ancelotti at 3.30 in the morning.”
