Roberto Mancini plays down England rumours

Italian paper Il Giorno celebrates the 60th anniversary of its foundation today organizing a charity football game in Milan today. Incomes of tickets sales will be donated to the family of the victims of the heart quake that hit centre Italy last August and many personalities of football are taking part to this event including former Inter boss Roberto Mancini.

The Italian gaffer has been linked with becoming new England national team coach, but the former Man City gaffer has denied that he is close to getting the job.

Our reporter Pasquale Guarro is attending the event and has had a quick chat with Mancini alongside other reporters.

“Coming back to Milan is great, but it’s very cold here. England’s cold too, but I am not in talks with the English FA at the moment. I haven’t watched Inter games so I have nothing to say about them.”

“Today I am here for a charity game and I am very happy to be back. I hope this is going to be useful for people suffering in Amatrice and in all the area stuck by the quake, especially kids. Let’s hope we can do something important for them.”
