Serie A contenders Roma have released a fascinating financial report for the years 2013-2015.

According to the document – which was drafted on the 30th of June 2015 –reveals that the sales of the likes of Marquinhos to PSG, Erick Lamela to Tottenham and Mehdi Benatia to Bayern Munich allowed the Giallorossi to pocket a €56 million profit up to the 30th June 2014, and another €38.5 million to the date when the document was drafted.

Giallorossi fans were delighted to see Sporting Director (and Ian Glen lookalike) Walter Sabatini get what seems to be the upper hand in lopsided deals, such as selling Genoese loanees Andrea Bertolacci and Alessio Romagnoli for a combined €45 million this summer. Even if they turn out to be excellent, Roma will have earned a hefty chunk for their troubles.

Another interesting nugget is Thomas Di Benedetto’s definite exit from Roma. James Pallotta and Richard D’Amore’s total stakes increase to 81.653.791 and 21.492.540 respectively.

CEO Italo Zanzi has also seen his contract with the club extended to June 2017.
