Roma defender ready to reunite with ex coach at Napoli

There are reports today via Premium Sport that Napoli are closer to Roma left back Mario Rui, who is no longer expected to be in the plans for the Giallorossi. Maurizio Sarri will be looking to strengthen his squad in all areas to be able to make a push towards the Scudetto challenge and continue in the Champions League. The Partenopei have done well on the transfer market in recent years, beating Juve and Inter to quality players while holding off interest from other major clubs in Europe. The talks have begun for Mario Rui, but the clubs are still not in agreement on a definitive price.

Considering the fine form he experienced at Empoli, under now Napoli coach Maurizio Sarri, that allowed him the opportunity for a move to Roma, the Portuguese defender will be ready to find his form again. Should Napoli offer him that chance, perhaps the road will lead out of Rome...
