Roma: Pjanic could extend. Inter: Mazzarri unhappy?

AS Roma have been particularly active during the last transfer market window: the giallorossi have yielded some important players like Marquinhos, Erik Lamela and Pablo Osvaldo, but, on the other hand, have signed Maicon, Mehdi Benatia, Kevin Strootman, Gervinho and Adem Ljajic. Moreover, the capital’s club has refused the offers received for 23 year old midfielder Miralem Pjanic; now Roma will have to work to extend the contract of the Bosnia international, actually expiring in 2015: the agent of the former Lyon player requires a five-year deal at 3 million euros per season. On the contrary, the contract of 32 year old defender Nicolas Burdisso will expire at the end of the current season, but it seems difficult that he will remain: the Argentina international yesterday was about to join AC Milan, and, if he will not have some chances to play, during the Winter transfer window will probably move to his homecountry. Also 31 year old forward Marco Borriello was intended to leave, but his transfer to Genoa has finally failed; the former Italy international should sign a longer contract with a lower salary, so that it should be easier for the giallorossi to find him a new club.

Inter Milan have signed many players, but, as highlighted by calciomercato.com, none of those required by their coach Walter Mazzarri, who, awaiting for the next transfer window, hopes to recover 34 year old striker Diego Milito.
