Roma star to move to Chelsea, friend hints

Antonio Rudiger could well be on his way to Chelsea, if the latest social media hints are accurate.

101greatgoals report that the Roma defender’s friend, El Mero Montana, has dropped a number of hints about a possible move on Instagram, before revealing that the German international was at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

Montana, who is very close to Rudiger, also photoshopped a picture of the 24-year-old wearing a Chelsea shirt. Rudiger is also wanted by the likes of Inter, and looked to be very close to the Nerazzurri, as well as Manchester City, who tried to hijack a move for the ex-Stuttgart man.

The Telegraph (via 101greatgoals) write that the Blues have a massive £125 million kitty for their transfer operations, and want to acquire Alex Sandro and Tiemoue Bakayoko.

Rudiger has been repeatedly linked to a move away from Roma, who acquired him for only 9 million from Stuttgart two seasons ago.

He has played very well in Italy, despite tearing his ACL towards the end of last season, forcing him to skip the 2016 European Championship.
