Ronaldo 'James wants to play more'

Cristiano Ronaldo has opened discussions beyond the upcoming Champions League final against Juventus, this time taking a moment to share his thoughts on the situation with teammate James Rodriguez. Speaking to the Spanish press, the Portuguese striker said. "I wish he stayed because I think he is a Real player. He still has a lot to give to this shirt because he is very young, but he has his reasons and we have to respect them. If he is unhappy and wants to play more he will be looking for something else. Personally I think his level of Real Madrid, this is my opinion. He has his doubts and maybe in the future he will play more."

The 25 year old Colombian only played in 22 games for the Merengues this season, and only started in 13 of those. With a World Cup year soon approaching and interest coming from all parts of Europe, the future for James seems to be far away from the Bernabeu.
