Ronaldo tells Perez that he wants to leave Real Madrid

The front page of Portuguese sports daily A Bola proclaims that Cristiano Ronaldo wants to leave Real Madrid. The journal claims that this is in response to the charges held against him for alleged tax evasion that totals €14.7M.

The publication writes that the 32-year-old’s decision is irreversible and that the player himself has told President Florentino Perez of his intentions. Ronaldo is also thought to have felt let down by Real’s support since the allegations were revealed earlier this week.

All this of course, comes in a week where reports have suggested that Los Blancos has received a bid for €180M for the Portuguese superstar with both Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United understood to be ready to do anything to secure his signature. Ronaldo shot to stardom at Old Trafford and has always stated that he would one day like to return to the club. With Jose Mourinho now at the helm, that possibility could become a step nearer reality an as the journal suggests, this could be the largest “bomb on the transfer market in the history of the game”.
