Bayern CEO confirms Juve agreement for Spurs target is ‘close’

Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has confirmed that Juventus are close to signing Brazilian winger Douglas Costa who is also being linked with a move to Tottenham.

Juventus, however, are leading the race to sign the former Shakhtar star who is a long time target of the Old Lady.

The intermediary of negotiations between Juve and Bayern Munich revealed this morning that an agreement between the two clubs could be just around the corner and the Bavarians’ CEO has confirmed that Douglas Costa joining Juve could be just a matter of time.

“There is still no agreement yet”, Rummenigge said during Corentin Tolisso’s presentation to the press.

“However, talks are ongoing and there could be an agreement very soon”

​Juventus have made a loan offer with mandatory buy-out clause. Douglas Costa’s Juventus move may cost the Serie A giants somewhere in the region of € 40 million. The Brazilian is contracted with Bayern Munich until 2020, he has 14 goals and 27 assists in 77 appearances with the Bundesliga giants.
