As reported by SkySports, Sampdoria are making a serious effort to bring Atletico Madrid’s Vietto to Genoa. The Argentine would arrive in Italy with an Italian passport, and Samp are doing whatever they can to lure the attacker to Liguria. Fresh competition from Monaco could potentially raise the price tag for the player, with Samp president Massimo Ferrero working busily to tie the player down. Thus far the offer is reportedly in the 16 million EUR range, as Ferrero hopes to improve on his club’s mediocre league run last season.
