Santi Cazorla comments on Arsenal future amid Atletico Madrid interest
Cazorla’s contract expires in June 2017 and if he doesn’t sign a new contract with Arsenal before January 2017, he’s ready to find agreement with any other club and move there for free in summer 2017.
“Atletico Madrid are an amazing club”, Cazorla told Spanish journalists.
“Just have a look at their results, El Cholo is doing great things. It is not easy to reach two Champions League finals and win the league.”
The Colchoneros have been linked with welcoming the player’s services in June 2017, but Cazorla has suggested that he might extend his stay at the Emitares Stadium.
“I am happy here, I am trusted by the manager and my teammates. I am feeling important here and if they’ll offer me a new contract I’ll sign it because I am very happy with this great club.”
