    Sassuolo striker to replace departing Iturbe at Roma

    With Juan Manuel Iturbe ready to switch Roma with Bournemouth after a disappointing one-year and a half spell at the Stadio Olimpico, the club’s Sporting Director Walter Sabatini is working to replace the departing Argentinean winger.  

    No doubt that Sassuolo striker Gregoire Defrel tops Sabatini’s wish-list.

    The 24-year-old is a speedy winger with good dribbling abilities and he can be lethal in front of goal as he proved last year with Cesena.

    Sassuolo have no intension of letting Defrel leave in January, though the player is frustrated with lack of playing time as Sergio Floccari is currently Eusebio Di Francesco’s first choice centre-forward.

    The Frenchman has plundered 11 goals in the first two top-flight seasons of his career.
