Schweinsteiger negotiating move to the MLS

Manchester United’s German midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger is finally about to leave Old Trafford and head out to the US to join the MLS. The 32-year-old, who has been completely frozen out at the Premier League giants under new boss Jose Mourinho and who has been training with the reserve team all season, is currently talking to Chicago Fire.

The German international arrived in England in the summer of 2015 for €9 million signing a three-year and becoming the clubs the first ever German player. His time at the Theatre of Dreams has not gone to plan however and although there have been recent reports that Mourinho was considering bringing him back into the first-team, his future now looks to be in the USA.

Schweinsteiger has undoubtedly been one of the best midfielders of his generation and helped his country to success in the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. In a decorated career with Bayern Munich he won eight Bundesliga titles, a Champions League crown in 2013 and a FIFA World Club Cup the same year.
