Serie A Matchday 7: Top 5 performers of the week-end

Serie A matchday 7 has been an interesting one as Juventus now have a 4 point lead on second placed Napoli. Roma beat Inter (2-1) to claim back third place in the standings (tied with Lazio-Milan and Chievo). The most entertaining game of the week-end was played at the San Siro as Milan made an incredible come-back to win 4-3 over Sassuolo.

Here are our top 5 individual performances of the week-end in the Serie A :

5- Ciro Immobile (vs Udinese): Whoscored rating : 8.8

Immobile had a fantastic night for Lazio as he helped them beat Udinese 3-0 . He scored the first goal of the game with a header and then finished the game off in the second half scoring Lazio's third goal of the night. With 4 goals in 7 Serie A games, Immobile is looking like a fantastic addition for the Roman club.

4- Paulo Dybala (vs Empoli) : Whoscored rating: 8.9

Paulo Dybala finally scored his first Serie A goal of the season for Juventus against Empoli. He opened the score early in the second half as his goal ended up being the game winner. Other than the goal, Dybala always seemed to be a menace for Empoli's back-line. He can now breath a sigh of relief.

3- Edin Dzeko (vs Inter): Whoscored rating: 9.0

Edin Dzeko scored the first goal of the Roma-Inter game but more importantly, his physical presence allowed Roma to move up the pitch with ease. Coach Spalletti was said to be very pleased with the performance of his front-man.With tonight's goal, Dzeko has now scored 5 goals in 7 Serie A games.

2- Alex Sandro (vs Empoli) : Whoscored rating: 9.3

Alex Sandro had a strong outing against Empoli as he provided the assist on the Dybala goal and was impeccable both offensively and defensively. When he is on his game, he is a real force down the left flank.

1- Gonzalo Higuain (vs Empoli): Whoscored rating: 9.6

What more to say? Gonzalo Higuain is born to score goals and he did so again against Empoli. He now has 6 goals in only 4 Serie A starts (7 appearances). He is our top performer of the week, as he scored 2 goals for Juventus against Empoli.
