Giovanni Simeone’s words have had quite the impact. The Genoa striker isn’t just your typical young Serie A striker: he’s also Diego Simeone’s son, and when he says that his father will Coach Inter one day, then in means something.
Especially when it’s Simeone Sr himself who comes out to confirm it.
Speaking at a press conference today ahead of Atletico Madrid’s Champions League clash with Bayern Munich, El Cholo confirmed this:
“My future is very clear, I don’t think I have anything to add to that.
“What Giovanni said? He’s my son, I talk to him a lot.
“My kids, my wife, my sister, my father, they all know that I’ll Coach Inter one day. It’s nothing new”.
This isn’t the first time that Simeone hints about a move to Inter. He’s been linked the Nerazzurri by Javier Zanetti, who has told people close to him that El Cholo will move to Milan one day. This has been fuelled by his current contract talks, which see him reducing its length.
