Why Juventus are not planning Verrati bid yet

Marco Verratti is not going to leave PSG despite some harsh criticisms by French media. The player’s agent Donato Di Campi hit back at French papers yesterday, but confirmed that his client is not planning to leave the club. The former Pescara man is said to be dreaming of winning the Champions League with the Ligue1 giants before leaving the Parc des Princes.

Juventus are long time admirers of the Italian playmaker, but the Old Lady has yet to make an official offer for Verratti.

Sources have told calciomercato.com that Juventus do not want to ruin their relationship with PSG which is already damaged due to some business made in the past.

The French side’s owner Nasser Al Khelaifi was not left impressed by Juventus’ move to sign Kinglsey Coman as a free agent back in 2014. The Serie A side made a similar attempt for Ikone last summer, but PSG managed to persuade the promising French striker to sign a new contract with the club.

Pushing Verratti to leave the club would permanently wreck the relationship between Juve and PSG. In addition to that, the player has just signed a new € 7 million-a-year contract with the French club. The bianconeri are not planning a bid for the Italy International yet, though things could change in the future.
