Sousa plays down reports that he’s not on good terms with the Della Valle brothers

La Gazzetta dello Sport reported last week that Paulo Sousa and the Della Valle brothers are not on good terms anymore as the club failed to bring in the players the manager requestd last  January.

The Portuguese coach had asked the club to bring in one between Lisandro Lopez or Emanuel Mammana, but La Viola eventually signed Leicester City’s outcast Yohan Benalouane in the deadline day.

Sousa, by the way, played down rumors that he’s not on good terms with the Della Valle brothers as well as with the club’s president Mario Cognigni ahead of Fiorentina clash against Inter. Sousa revealed the press have exaggerated the whole thing and that he has never accused the club’s board of not having signed the players he wanted.

We’ll find out in the next few weeks is the Portuguese tactician has only used diplomacy or if his statements are just a way not to put extra pressure on him and the team before such an important game as the one against the Nerazzurri.
