Exclusive: Speedy Larsson 'I want Italy!'
Calciomercato.com exclusively interviewed the young talent of Malmo Daniel Larsson. The player had 57 appearences, 20 goals and 12 assists, and he's now being watched by the Swedish:
Speed is your greatest quality, like your mother. Do you do specific exercises to develop these aspects? 'Yes, I think it is genetic, but I try to develop it with specific training'
At the end of January Sportbladet linked your name to Kaiserslautern, what did you think of this? You were valued at 5 million euro, are you shocked by such a high value?
'There was a negotiation between the two clubs, but it failed. I didn't think about my value. I was disappointed at that time, but I am now focused on the next season starting in April. If I play well, I'll have another chance'
Malmo is a great club, but would you accept a transfer to another championship, in Russia or Ukraine for example?
'I'd like to play in a top-class championship, like the Italian one. It would be a dream coming true'
You were also a talent in another sport, Floorball. What is it?
'It's like hockey but played on a volleyball-like pitch. You have to be fast in both body and mind. Perhaps I managed to bring one of these qualities to my game'
You have spoken in the past about your younger brother Sam. Another talent destined to success? What's his position?
'My brother has all the qualities to be a great player. He plays in the IFK Goteborg youth, he's creative, he can make the difference in a game. Maybe one day he'll play in Italy'
Malmo is full of good players, who would you recommend to an Italian club? Amongst Durmaz, Molins and Mehmeti who's ready for a top club ?
'All my teammates have good qualities but if I really had to chose one I'd say that Molins is definitely more ready to face more important challenges'
