Sporting offer Real, Barcelona, Chelsea target Martins €100m release clause
Some bad news for Premier League teams looking to nab a deal from Portugal: according to A Bola, Sporting Lisbon are negotiating a new deal with star winger Gelson Martins.
The new deal is set to include an €100 million release clause, which is sure to scare off a lot of the competition.
The 21-year-old has made a very strong start to the current campaign, scoring twice and making five more assists, earning rave reviews.
Martins came through the ranks at the Jose Alvalade, and has since earned three caps with Portugal.
In Italy, Martins has been targeted by the likes of Inter and AC Milan, but it appears that they have been overtaken by the Spanish sides, who are willing to offer more.
