Spurs ace hints he could be tempted to make a move to Barcelona

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen has dropped a huge hint that he his future could lie away from North London. The 25-year-old Danish international is currently preparing to face Germany this evening but during a press-conference he was asked about the reported interest from Barcelona towards the end of last season.

Having briefly had a trial at the Catalan giants before moving to Ajax, Eriksen explained that; “I was there at one point, and it was not very good. Barcelona are a great club. I don’t think there are many who say no to Barcelona. In the future I see myself at the highest level. That’s what I dream about. It can be about two to three years. It may be in another club or it could be Tottenham if we have come all the way up.”

The Dane is under contract at Spurs until 2020 but it’s reported that new Barca boss Ernesto Valverde will be given significant funds to construct a new-look side ahead of next season. Eriksen’s name was linked with a move to the Camp Nou a couple of months ago and these latest claims will not have done anything to quell the rumours.
