Real Madrid have told Tottenham Hotspur that they will have to pay €15M if they want to get their hands on striker Mariano Diaz. The 23-year-old, who heralds from the Dominican Republic looks set to leave the Santiago Bernabeu this summer after limited first-team chances under coach Zinedine Zidane.
 
Spanish sports journal Marca writes that Los Blancos have received contact from the Premier League side and that Mauricio Pochettino’s men are one several clubs chasing down his signature. Atletico Madrid, Real Betis, Malaga and Lazio have all been monitoring the situation to set up a summer showdown with the North London side.
 
Pochettino wants striking cover for Harry Kane next term and Diaz is seen as a cheap option as the club from the capital challenge on two fronts both domestically and in the Champions League. Diaz player 14 times for Real last season after being promoted from the B team where he rifled in 27 goals in 33 appearances the season before.
