Spurs won't rival Arsenal for Lemar

Tottenham Hotspurs are not in interested in disrupting Arsenal’s plan to bring in Thomas Lemar from Monaco, according to Sky Sports.

The Gunners launched an unsuccessful bid £30m for the 21-year-old on Wednesday, with the French champions unwilling to part with their talented attacking-midfielder.
The Ligue 1 sides wonder-kid Kylian Mbappe as another player thought to be on manager Arsene Wenger’s radar, but so far a bid is yet to be lodged.

Spurs are tied down and have restricted finance due to their costly stadium expansion. They are keen on Everton’s Ross Barkley still, and are remaining focused on bringing the Toffees’ player-maker to North London, in order to strengthen in the number 10 department.

This leaves their rivals Arsenal relatively home and dry regarding Lemar, with it thought that the side are no put off by Monaco’s initial rejection.

A lot of the major summer transfer movement rests upon the decisions done at Monaco, and what players they are willing to let go. If Arsenal were to come in again swiftly, a deal could transpire for the Gunners.
