Swedish journalist: Ibra doesn't want to go to Milan, he was just being nice

It really looks like Zlatan Ibrahimovic won't be returning to Italy, after all.

Earlier today, Sky reported that the Swede was very much in favour of a move to Manchester United.

Milanews.it got in touch with Jennifer Wegerup, who works for Aftonbladet and who has the former Inter, Milan and Juventus striker's confidence.

Asked whether a return to Milanello was possible, Wegerup said that "Zlatan's words were a way of expressing gratitude to his former club, they weren't a rapprochement.

"I'm sorry for the fans, maybe something's changed in the past months, but it's over, just like a great love story".

Asked whether Fininvest's likely injection of funds from a Chinese investor could swing Ibra, she reminded MilanNews that "fans need to remember that they're dealing with a footballer, not a fan.
"Zlatan is a professional: the more money the better".

Ibra's future? "He has yet to make a final decision, but it is likely that he wants to remain in Paris, then again it's a big club and it's evaluating other strategies. I know the club has made a huge, exhorbitant offer for Cristiano Ronaldo, but Zlatan wants to know what he can do as soon as possible. Now his kids have grown up and are happy in Paris, it was easier to 'move' them when they were younger".

One thing is certain: "Ibra won't wait for the Euros, he'll definitely make a decision before. He's not a kid anymore, he has a family, a life, kids in school, He will want to organize himself with time to spare, so that he can completely focus on Sweden in June".
