These fans be crazy: artist produces print of Christ resembling Atalanta head Ultra

This is a good one. Those of you who happen to be in Bergamo in the coming days should visit the local church that has been named in honour of Pope John XXIII... and take a look at the print of Christ behind the altar.

According to Bergamopost, it bears a striking resemblance to Claudio Monteverdi, who is also known as Il Bocia, and who just so happens to be the leaders of Atalanta's Ultras.

The artist, Andrea Mastrovito, identifies himself firstly as an Atalanta fan, and a Bergamasco second, and is known as Giotto by his friends in the Curva.

The only problem is that Bocia has been issued a number of stadium bans, and has been charged with a number of offences. This is the same Bocia who is famous for saying that "Fighting is our drug", and for taunting the police with a pig's head in Atalanta's recent meeting with Sassuolo.

Interviewed by the Corriere della Sera, Giotto has neither confirmed nor denied these reports, though it appears that the local Catholic hierarchy hadn't noticed, either.

For those wondering who Il Bocia is, well... it's THIS guy
