Throwback to when Eder refused a move to Leicester City

Thirteen goals netted in a single Serie A season represent a personal record for Inter striker Eder. Trouble is, he scored 12 with Sampdoria in the first part of the season and only one in 784 minutes played with Inter, the club where he moved to this past January, when the Brazilian born striker with Italian passport turned down Leicester City’s offer to move to the San Siro outfit.

Roberto Mancini preferred signing him over his former Sampdoria teammate Roberto Soariano, whilst Eder opted to remain in Serie A, rather than moving to England. Social media are going crazy for Claudio Ranieri’s lads ‘miracle’ but lot of people are also having a laugh at the Italy International’s choice.

Just to make things even worse, Mancini has been recently benching Eder to start Stevan Jovetic instead. The club would like to keep the former Sampdoria star and sell the Montenegro International next season, that’s also one of the reasons why Mancini is giving Jovetic more game time than Eder who, however, is also in danger of missing out on a spot in Italy’s EURO 2016 squad.
