Thumbs Up/Thumbs Down: Juve beaten on penalties by Melbourne Victory

Juventus were beaten on penalties by Melbourne Victory on Saturday night in their second friendly game of the season. Massimiliano Allegri benched both Pjanic and Benatia for the whole game with youngster Severin playing in the middle of the pitch in place of the Bosnia and Herzegovina International.

Paulo Dybala and Alex Sandro were definitely among the most positive players for the Old Lady, whislst Rugani hit the woodwork in the first half. Allegri rotated almost all his players in the second half and Juventus allowed the equalizer in the last minute of play. Alberto Cerri and Mario Lemina could have done more to help the team.

Check out Nicola Balice’s tops and flops.

    THUMBS UP:
NETO: Reactive when necessary, he makes a miraculous save in the first half. Waiting to know his future at the club, he proves he can become more than a mere back-up.
BLANCO MORENO: The talented 20-year-centre back was not even supposed to travel to Australia alongside his teammates. He has played scoring a beauty from the middle of the pitch. The guy is playing his cards right.
PAULO DYBALA: He has not scored, but he’s the best one in the first half in terms of mentality and initiative.

    THUMBS DOWN:
ALBERTO CERRI: Another wasted chance given by Massimiliano Allegri after that the club bought him from Parma two years ago.
MARIO LEMINA: He runs a lot both with and without the ball on his feet. However, he’s too chaotic when it comes to passing the ball to his teammates as he always miss the last pass.
MARRONE:  The former Verona man is one of those to be blamed for the Australians’ last-gasp equalizer.
