     - DROGBA-MILAN CONTRACT DETAILS

Milan are willing to sign Ivorian striker Didier Drogba on a six-month loan deal to replace Antonio Cassano. The Chelsea ace is on top of the Rossoneri January wish-list which reportedly made him an offer. However, Drogba is pondering over their bid as he would like Milan to offer him an extended deal until June 2013 considering that his current contract with the Blues will end next season.

If Drogba was to snub their offer, Ariedo Braida and Adriano Galliani would be looking at Nicolas Anelka, Marco Borriello and Carlos Tevez as potential short-term replacements for Cassano. Either ways, it seems clear that Il Diavolo is not willing to spend much in the January transfer window considering that Fantantonio is expected to be back at the end of the current season.

    - DIARRA WINKS AT ROMA

Real Madrid midfielder Lassana Diarra is tired of sitting on the Santiago Bernabeu bench and is considering a move abroad. The 26-year-old player is struggling to beat the tough competition for a regular shirt in Madrid and claimed he is looking for a different project.

“I don’t want to warm the bench up for long. My contribution could be important. A project like the Roma one could be perfect for me,” he revealed. Now it is up to the Giallorossi to make the first official move especially if Daniele De Rossi was to leave the Olimpico at the end of his contract in June 2012.

Meanwhile, Giallorossi youngster Fabio Borini has been approached by Sampdoria. The player, who is currently sidelined for two months, would be the perfect signing for new boss Beppe Iachini. The Blucerchiati will be trying to get him on loan but considering that Luis Enrique may disagree on the transfer, DS Sensibile is also working on Cesena forward Eder, who would certainly be an easier target.

    - ‘NEW’ LUCIO KICKS OUT OLD SAMUEL

The current season may as well be the last at Inter for 33-year-old Walter Samuel. The Argentinean defender is going through a troubled spell and the Nerazzurri are pondering whether to offer him an extension on his contract which is set to expire in June 2012.

According to the latest reports, Inter are monitoring Brazilian defender Dedé from Vasco da Gama. The player, who has been dubbed “the new Lucio” by Carlos Dunga, is available for 8M Euros. If President Massimo Moratti was to give his approval to the deal, then the future of Samuel will certainly be far away from Appiano Gentile.

    - NO LAZIO FOR PODOLSKI

German ace Lukas Podolski will not be leaving FC Koln in the January transfer window. The striker has been linked to Lazio and Arsenal but according to his club’s sporting director, Volker Finke, there is no way they would let him go.

“We are determined to keep Podolski and will soon start negotiations for a new contract,” noted Finke. The German striker is tied to his current club until June 2013 and his market value is quoted at 14M Euros.

Napoli were also interested in Podolski but turned their attention to Valencia man Jonas, Spanish reports reveal. The Azzurri could make an offer for the Brazilian player and is worth approximately 7M Euros. The 27-year-old player has a contract running until June 2015.
