Transfer rumours: Juventus meet €30m release clause in midfielder’s contract

Juventus have informed Sevilla that they are going to meet the € 30m release clause included in Steven N’Zonzi’s contract in January, Estadio Deportivo reports.

The Serie A giants are desperate to sign some midfield reinforcement in the winter transfer window and are looking for a player who can combine quality and quantity, like Paul Pogba had been doing in the Old Lady’s midfield over the last four seasons.

Allegri needs more physical power in his midfield as well as more quality and N’Zonzi perfectly combines both qualities. Sevilla are still trying to persuade the French midfielder to sign a new contract and agree a higher release clause, but with the beginning of the transfer window just around the corner, Juventus are confident that the deal is going to be finalized.

N’Zonzi is also said to be a transfer target of Premier League table leaders Chelsea, though Antonio Conte seems not intentioned to meet the player’s € 30 million release clause.
