Valencia reportedly jump to front of the queue to sign Everton target Gabbiadini

Manolo Gabbiadini is very likely to leave Napoli in the winter transfer window. The Italian striker is struggling to get regular game time under Maurizio Sarri despite Arkadiusz Milik’s injury. Sarri needs a true centre forward like the Polish hit-man is, whilst the former Sampdoria striker delivers better performances when deployed as support striker.

Unlikely his predecessor Rafa Benitez, Sarri does not see Gabbiadini as a winger and if the Italian striker wants to get more game time in the future, there are little options left but to leave Napoli as in the future he’s not going to play more than what he’s being doing until now.

Earlier last week, Gabbiadini had been linked with moves to either Everton or Valencia. Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis is an admirer of the Italian striker but could decide to sell him if the player asks to leave. Napoli refused an offer of € 30 million from Wolfsburg last January and will be looking for a similar fee in the January window.

The Serie A side, however, do not want to sell Gabbiadini on loan, but only on a permanent deal and according to fichajes.net, LaLiga side Valencia are in pole position to sign Napoli’s unhappy striker as the 24-year-old striker would love to work alongside his compatriot Cesare Prandelli.
