    Vilhena: 'I didn't join Inter because I wasn't going to play much'

    After Being a target for Inter Milan, the 21-year-old midfielder Tonny Vilhena has finally decided to extend his deal with Feyenoord. The Dutch midfielder told the Algmeen Dagblad: “At Inter, I would have had to fight for a place, I don’t know how many chances to play I would have gotten. There was not a concrete plan for me. When you are young, you need to play, and you need a club to have a particular project for you.”

    “I have spoken many times with my mother”, he added. “She is very important for me and she seemed doubtful. This made me meditate, so three weeks before that Feyenoord were going to start the new season, I told my father that I was going to stay.”
