Wesley Sneijder linked with shock Serie A return

Former Inter star Wesley Sneijder is being linked with a shock return to Serie A. The 33-year-old is contracted with Galatasaray until 2018 and Bologna President Joey Saputo is considering signing him for one year before taking him to the USA where is he the owner of Montreal Impact.

Sneijder, made history during his time at Inter as he was a key part of José Murinho’s side that managed to win the treble in 2010.

The Holland star spent five years in Italy scoring 22 goals and registering 35 assists in 116 appearances with Inter. Sneijder became one of the most wanted players in the world under José Mourinho but, somehow, he has failed to remain among the world’s top players for a consistent period of time.

Despite that, he is still one of the most skilled attacking midfielders available in the market and if the report of Tuttosport will be confirmed, Serie A will definitely add some more talent to their league.
