West Ham star Payet has a relegation release clause and it’s incredibly low: details

West Ham star Dimitry Payet could leave West Ham in the summer if the Hammers get relegated, but that’s not the most interesting news published by The Times.

According to the reliable British paper, the French winger has a £ 15 million relegation clause that can be activated if the Hammers do not survive this Premier League campaign. The 29-year-old French International was linked with moves to the biggest European clubs out there following his tremendous form with France national team at Euro 2016 last summer.
Scorer of three goals during the tournament held in France last summer, Payet has imposed himself as one of the most spectacular and decisive players in Europe with Manchester United and Real Madrid rumoured to be ready to break the bank to welcome his services.
Real Madrid, however, may be prevented from signing the West Ham star next summer as the Merengues have been handed a two-window transfer ban. The East-London club, however, are not open to sell their star next summer unless they get relegated and, as of today, they are just one point above the relegation area. A relegation to Championship this season would mean for the Hammers to see their star leaving for just £ 15 million.
