West Ham target 25 million England international

According to The Mirror, West Ham United have made Arsenal striker Theo Walcott their number one summer transfer target. The 28-year-old fell out of favour towards the end of last season at The Emirates and with the 2018 World Cup Finals just around the corner, the England international wants to make sure that he’s on the plane next year should his country qualify for Russia.

Walcott has yet to reach his peak and some would say that he has rather stalled in his development in recent years. Now Hammers boss Slaven Bilic sees an opportunity to offer him more regular first-team action at The London Stadium and is ready to try to temp The Gunners to off-load the player by tabelling a £25M bid.

With the possible arrival of Alexandre Lacazette to North London, opportunities for Walcott could become even scarcer next term and which could result in Three Lions coach Gareth Southgate overlooking him for his final 22-man squad for Russia 2018.
