In a bizarre twist, Barcelona could be the ones who benefit the most from James Rodriguez’s impending departure from Real Madrid. The Catalan giants have absolutely no interest in landing the 25-year-old Colombian superstar; it’s where his future may lie that could spell great news for boss Ernesto Valverde.
 

One of the clubs heavily linked with his services are French giants Paris Saint-Germain and were the club from the capital to grab his signature that would free up one of Barcelona’s priority summer targets, midfielder Angel Di Maria.
 

Valverde is planning a summer revolution at the Camp Nou and Di Maria (29) is one of the players on his wanted list alongside Liverpool play-maker Philippe Coutinho. Prizing the Brazilian away from Anfield will be difficult and according to Don Balon, a move for the Argentine star could prove to be a lot easier, if they can beat off the competition from both Manchester United and Chelsea for James.
 

The portal states that Real Madrid are aware of this and being a former Los Blancos player, it suggests that President Florentino Perez may try to steer clear of letting him go to the French capital.
