AC Milan: Bertolacci close to January exit

03 January at 18:00
Andrea Bertolacci's time at AC Milan seems to be close to an end. Despite Gennaro Gattuso's will to retain him during the last summer, Bertolacci has failed to live up to expectations so far this season as he’s only played 139 minutes in all competitions. His contract expires in June but Leonardo is already working to find a solution in this market window, with the aim of saving the 2 million euros of his wage.

COMEBACK TO GENOA - Sources have told Calciomercato.com that Bertolacci is close to Genoa, which seek a reinforcement in the middle of the park. During his last experience with Rossoblu, he scored 13 goals in 124 games (between 2012 and 2015 and in the 2017-2018 campaign).

The only problem to solve is economic. The player’s € 2 million-a-year salary is too much for the Grifone who is trying to find a solution together with the player and AC Milan. Genoa have also been linked with Juventus midfielder Stefano Sturaro who will end is loan at Sporting Lisbon to return to Italy.
