According to the reports, the Rossoneri paid €20 million initially plus another €4 million in add ons which have not all been paid out yet. Therefore the true number lay there somewhere in between as the German press uninimously think that Bayer Leverkusen made a great piece of business when selling the Turkish international.
Calhanoglu spent 3 season with Bayer Leverkusen after leaving Hamburg SV in the summer of 2014 for a reported fee of €14,5 million as well as signing a 5 year contract with the club. During his stint with Leverkusen Calhanoglu featured 77 times scoring 17 goals across all competitions.
The Turkish international has not had a great start to life at AC Milan since joining hte club and has only managed the 1 goal in 11 matches in all competitions so far vausing his future with the Rossoneri to come under speculation.
