AC Milan set to change formation against Napoli

It appears as if AC Milan will change formation for their clash with Serie A leaders Napoli tomorrow. Manager Vincenzo Montella is looking to beef up his midfield, which is why he’ll likely abandon the 3-4-2-1 we’ve come to expect from the Rossoneri.

It appears he’ll deploy a more possession-oriented 4-1-4-1 look tomorrow. The four-man backline should consist of Alessio Romagnoli and Fabio Borini on the wings, with Leonardo Bonucci and Mateo Musaccio in the center.

Manu Locatelli should be in front of them as the lone central defender. Ahead of him may be Riccardo Montolivo, Giacomo Bonaventura, Franck Kessie, and Suso. Croatian hero Nikola Kalinic will serve as the lone striker, per usual.

The one variable to the proposed lineup is the possibility that Montella includes Swiss hero Ricardo Rodriguez, who could replace Borini, which would push Romagnoli to the center.

Lucas Biglia will return from injury, and may see time off the bench.
