Agent: ‘Telles could stay at Inter’

Alex Telles joined Inter from Galatasaray on a loan deal with option to buy last summer, but the € 8.5 million fee Inter and Gala agreed to make the left winger switch permanent is too expensive for the Serie A giants.

Even if Telles and Inter were thought to part ways at the end of the season, the player’s agent has revealed Telles could extend his stay at the San Siro.

“There are no important news at the moment”, Mr. Fernando Otto told FCInternews.it.

“However, I’ll meet [Inter’s Sporting Director] Piero Ausilio next week to talk about the player’s future.”

“Both him and Mancini appreciate Telles’ qualities, so I am optimistic that Inter and Galatasaray can find an agreement.”

The Nerazzurri will try to negotiate a lower fee to make the 23-year-old’s move permanent.

In the meantime, Turkish paper Yeni Safak, reports Inter target Caner Erkin has been offered a € 2 million contract to join Besiktas for the next three seasons. The 27-year-old left-back runs out of contract in the summer and Roberto Mancini has a very high opinion of the Turkey International.
