Arsenal interested in €30m Milan striker, sent scouts to watch him

Arsenal are set to go on the offensive for Carlos Bacca.

Now that Arsene Wenger is set to stay at the Emirates, it looks like the Gunners are going to go all in on the Colombian, alongside Riyad Mahrez and Thomas Lemar.

Close to signing with West Ham last summer, the former Bruges man eventually decided to stay at Milan.

The Rossoneri are interested in going in a different direction now that they’re under new ownership, and like Alvaro Morata, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Nikola Kalinic.

Tuttomercatoweb wrote recently that Arsenal had scouts present at the San Siro during the Rossoneri’s 3-0 win over Bologna, in which the Colombian striker didn’t score, but pretender Gianluca Lapadula did.

WIth Lapadula eating into Carlos Bacca’s playing time and the former Sevilla man not considered to be the ideal striker in Vincenzo Montella’s system - which requires the centre forward to participate more - the 30-year-old is considered to be on the way out.

The former Bruges man has scored 13 Serie A goals this season, adding three assists but struggling to live up to expectations, having been signed for €30 million.
