Arsenal striker confirms he'll stay despite Gunners Belotti interest

Olivier Giroud has confirmed that he’s staying at Arsenal.

Speaking to Telefoot (via Talksport), the 30-year-old striker let it be known that he would stay at the Emirates, despite barely starting more than a dozen Premier League games this season.

Linked to the likes of Marseille, reports indicated that Giroud would leave in order to keep his starting role with France, who are likely to be in next year’s World Cup in Russia.

"I am not insensitive to the approaches of the French clubs and especially that of Marseille," the former Montpellier star said.

"But my future is in the Premier League. I still have titles to win. After the FA Cup, we will go for the league title. That's my goal."

Recent reports had indicated that the Frenchman would seek out a move, seeing that he has already been supplanted by Alexis Sanchez as the Gunners’ forward man.

With Coach Arsene Wenger also being promised an £100 million war kitty, it looks like the Gunners like Alvaro Morata and Andrea Belotti, who they already tried to sign in winter.

Giroud has scored 98 times in 225 appearances for Arsenal.
