Arsenal tell Barcelona Ozil price-tag

Arsenal have yet to reach an agreement over the contract extension of their star Mesut Ozil. The Germany International has yet to pen a new deal with the Gunners who are now running out of time as the Germany International will be free to negotiate a move as a free agent with any other club from January.

According to the latest report of Mundo Deportivo, Ozil is Barcelona’s plan B in case the blaugrana fail to sign Coutinho in the January window.

The January transfer window will be the last chance Arsenal have to monetize Ozil’s exit and that’s why Barcelona already know they can sign the former Real Madrid ace on the cheap.

The Catalan paper reports Barcelona have already be informed about the price-tag of Ozil who would be ready to leave Arsenal for a fee close to € 20 million in the January transfer window.

Barcelona are also monitoring the likes of Angel Di Maria and Philippe Coutinho but both of them would be more expensive signings than Ozil.

Barcelona will sign one new attacking midfielder and Ozil’s stocks are rising.
