Atletico Madrid striker a target for Liverpool

Atletico Madrid forward Angel Correa is a target for Liverpool, according to 101greatgoals via Spanish outlet AS.

It’s been a relatively slow transfer summer window for the Merseyside club, despite bring in Mohamed Salah from Serie A side Roma, so they are hopeful of keeping to ball rolling and the momentum going by signing La Liga forward Correa.

The 22-year-old Argentine has reportedly been told by his club that he cannot leave, but he is determined to depart in order to play more football next season.
But following Atletico’s transfer ban, it is not quite clear whether the player would be able to leave this window, or have to wait until the ban is complete in 2018, throwing the switch in doubt.

Correa made 31 appearances for the Madrid side last season but only managed to score four goals, picking up six yellow cards. The player is currently doing his pre-season training with the club, but Reds manager Jurgen Klopp would be considering as Bundesliga player Naby Keita has been slapped with a heft transfer price.
