Aubameyang Instagram post has Milan fans dreaming of a sensational return

AC Milan fans are having a summer to remember; their club has already spent over €200M on new signings and the new Chinese owners look set to continue their quest to return the Italian giants to the top of the game both domestically and in Europe.

As the Rossoneri get set to face Borussia Dortmund in the International Champions Cup in Guangzhou today, Gabon international striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who will be on the opposing side, has posted a photograph on Instagram of him wearing the Milan jersey during his first spell at the club.

The 28-year-old has been linked with a return to the San Siro where he was nurtured in the youth ranks but failed to make a first-team appearance. Having refused a big money move to China, it seems as though the Rossoneri will go head to head with Chelsea to try to grab his signature. The player is asking for a yearly salary of €12M and Milan CEO Marco Fassone and Sporting Director Massimo Mirabelli consider this too high at the present time.

There could be room for negotiation however and Rossoneri fans will continue to dream about welcoming back last season’s Bundesliga golden boot winner.
